Teeny’s Mexican Casserole Recipe

I grew up with this casserole and now I make it for my kids too. It’s a family favorite! It can be made during any season and the recipe can easily be doubled.

Ingredients
l lb. ground turkey or meat
l 12-count pkg. corn tortillas
l can cream of mushroom soup or celery soup
2-3 C. shredded cheddar cheese
l can chopped green chilies
onions to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Mrs. Dash to taste
cumin to taste
1/4 C. milk
Directions
Brown ground beef or turkey in frying pan. Add the spices, onions, and chilies. Meanwhile in a large bowl, add the soup, and tear up corn tortillas in small pieces. Add 1-2 cups of cheese as you please. Then add the meat mixture to the tortilla mixture and stir very well. Add the milk in as well and mix again. Pour into a 9×13-inch greased baking pan, top with the rest of the cheese, and bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
