6 strips bacon, cut into thirds (18 pieces total)
18 1/2 inch cubes cheddar cheese
10 Brussels sprouts
1 1/2 Tbs. maple syrup
18 toothpicks

Saute in fat until tender and a little caramelized, but still firm enough to hold onto a toothpick. Skewer a sprout, a piece of bacon and a cheddar cube onto each toothpick and place on a serving plate. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve. These can sit out on your party table for up to 4 hours.
