Quick and Easy Old Fashioned Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes Recipe

This is a creamy and cheesy side dish that’s so quick and easy to prepare. These potatoes go great with chicken, pork, ham or beef.

Ingredients
4 C. yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
2 C. Velveeta, cubed
1 stick butter, cubed
4 Tbs. flour
2 tsp. kosher salt
3 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 C. half and half
4 C. cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a greased baking dish, layer bottom with potatoes. Equally layer all the remaining ingredients. Pour half and half over the layers.
3. Cover. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender and sauce is thickened.
4. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees.
5. Remove cover and sprinkle top of potatoes with grated cheddar. Return to oven and bake until cheese is golden brown.
Hint: Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper between layers.
