Inexpensive Sponge Cake Recipe

This is a great tasting cake and you can add any kind of frosting you’d like.

Ingredients

2 eggs
l/2 tsp. salt
l l/2 C. sugar
l C. flour
l/2 C. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

Beat eggs. Add sugar and salt. Beat thoroughly. Add flour mixed with baking powder. Add water and lemon juice. Mix well. Bake in tube pan in moderate 350 degree F oven for 45 minutes.
