Dump Cake Recipe

This recipe was passed down through my family at holiday dinners. Its very easy to make and delicious. It requires a yellow cake mix (pudding in the mix) and a can of pie cherries already prepared.

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
cooking oil (according to the box)
1 can pie filling (cherries)

Directions

Follow the directions on the box for a yellow cake mix using the eggs and oil accordingly. After mixing the batter, pour the can of cherries into the bottom of a 9×12-inch cake pan. DO NOT GREASE PAN. After the cherries are spread evenly on the bottom of the pan, spread the cake batter over the top of the cherries Bake at 350 untill cake is done. You can also add a small can of pineapple on top the cherries and sprinkle pecans over it before adding cake mix. After cake is done sprinkle powdered sugar over the top. Use a spoon to “scoop” it rather than “cut “it with a knife.
