Ingredients
* 3 C. flour
* 5 tsp. baking powder
* 4 Tbs. sugar
* 3/4 tsp. salt
* 6 Tbs. vegetable oil
* 2 1/2 C. water
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* dash of cinnamon
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in medium bowl. Add vegetable oil, vanilla and water. Heat oil. Pour batter in pans and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon.

Ingredients
3 C. sifted flour
1 C. shortening
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
5 Tbs. cold water
Directions
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles corn meal. Beat together egg, vinegar and water. Mix thoroughly into flour mixture. Turn out on wax paper and press into ball. Roll out on floured cloth.

Ingredients
3 eggs, separated
2 C. milk, scalded
4-5 slices bread, day old
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 C. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C. sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bread into tiny cubes and soak with raisins in scalded milk. Cool to lukewarm. Beat egg yolks and sugar until creamy, add vanilla extract and cinnamon. Blend with milk mixture in deep bowl. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into buttered 8×12-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in oven for 45 minutes.
