18 1/2 inch cubes cheddar cheese
10 Brussels sprouts
1 1/2 Tbs. maple syrup
18 toothpicks

Fry bacon in a pan until done, but not crisp. Pour off all but about 2 Tbs. bacon fat. Trim bad leaves from sprouts and cut each one in half lengthwise. Saute in fat until tender and a little caramelized, but still firm enough to hold onto a toothpick. Skewer a sprout, a piece of bacon and a cheddar cube onto each toothpick and place on a serving plate. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve. These can sit out on your party table for up to 4 hours.
